i7 5820k vs i7 6700k

I'm looking to upgrade my FX 8350 to one of the CPUs above. I don't mind about the price difference. I'd be using it for streaming next gen games, recording and rendering.

Would of thought the extra cores on the 5820k would be better for rendering

if you could stretch the i7 6800k was released some weeks back

also remember when picking the 5820k and 6800k are LGA2011 socket and the 6700k is LGA 1151

5820k is a legendary CPU. 6 cores, reasonable pricing, overclocks to 4.3Ghz (minimum) if you want more performance.

Wait for Zen.

so AMD can overpromise and under deliver again? ZEN still very much an unknown and no indication that its going to show up any time soon... maybe out in limited numbers for desktops 'before the end of the year'

now...today... buy the 5820K/X99 Mobo

I have the 5820k and never regretted it maybe a 16 core 32 thread zen could but for now I am happy
