i7 7700k @ 5ghz

x5650 still smashing cinebench

Should do they'll be 2 of them in that system as it's reporting 12 cores & 24 threads.
My X5650 only has 6 cores and 12 thread and scores 872 at 4.2 ghz (even though Cinebench reports 3.8ghz for some reason).

Someone managed to acquired a 7700K CPU and Delidded it and repasted it with better TIM then OC to 5GHz at 1.34V saw huge temp drop from around 96-99C with Intel secret TIM paste to 66C with CoolLaboratory Liquid Ultra thermal paste.

It is very impressed to see someone delidded it and repasted it with CoolLaboratory Liquid Ultra thermal paste managed to achieved 5GHz at 1.34V and lower temp very stable enough for 24/7 usage. :D

Argh January 2017 will be very tough month to read through many Ryzen SR7 and 7700K reviews to decide which CPU will I choose?

Hopefully Intel will fixed TIM mess on time before it ship next month, if not then anyone can delidded it and repaste it with better TIM.

7700K already for sale in Germany and from the people that have already received it, it is doing 5ghz no problem at 1.3 volts and that is a standard retail box version, not delidded either.

7700K at 5ghz

Have posted this link only for the purpose of showing that it is for already for sale, prior to being released. Don't ask me how, as I only came across this information from another forum and am just posting it on here as the latest update in what is happening with Kabylake.
