i7-7700K How many cores ??

Hi Guys

Last year I bought a i7-7700K CPU. I have been doing a little investigating as I was about to see if I need ant updates etc. I noticed that my CPU only has 2 Cores & 4 threads.
All the info I can find on the i7-7700K it is supposed to have 4 Cores & 8 threads???

I'm using an ASUS Z270E MB btw.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Maybe you have them disabled in Windows.

Go to Start > Run > msconfig > Boot tab > Advanced options > Number of processors should NOT be ticked.

Also check your bios that all cores are enabled; it should definitely be 4 cores 8 threads.

Check task manager to see how many threads are actually running (one box for each)

Reset BIOS default should fix that.

I tried all of your suggestions and I'm happy to report the missing Cores/Threads have now turned up..
