Hi 8pack

I have a 7700k cpu. My motherboard is a Gigabyte Gaming 7 Z170.

The motherboard automatically dishes out 1.3 vcore to the CPU when running at stock speeds. I want to find the lowest stable voltage for the CPU at stock speed. I have managed to get the system stable at 1.18 vcore. I tried changing vcore to 1.08 and system did not like it.

My question is, from your experience testing these CPUs, what is the lowest atainable Vcore to maintain a stable system on a good chip?

Thanks for your time,

Henry

I am running my CPU with Vcore set to 1.170v in the BIOS. According to HWiNFO64 this results in a Vcore range of 1.092v to 1.164v. Need to put a multimeter on the voltage rad points to verify this.

I also note that HWiNFO64 provides Core VID readings. Am i correct in interpreting this as the voltage each core is requesting, and that the Vcore reading is what is being delivered?

Thanks

Henry
