i7 7700k

I saw that it was compatable with my motherboard on asus site but on ccl computers in the write up for this cpu it says it's not compatable without a bios update which requires a skylake processer to do it?? I'm sorry I'm fairly new to computers
 
Well I only normally game in 1080 I have a 1060 6gb gpu and a i56400 ATM I play a lot of games like pubg and want to play destiny 2 just want a good cpu that will work well with my gpu
 
Ok cool thanks I will look into one of those unless you or anyone else could recommend a different cpu to go with my asus h170 pro gaming board and my 1060 6gb gpu.
