Hi Guys,

Got a weird issue with my CPU where by regardless of what RAM or motherboards I use, I can only populate 2 channels with RAM (slots 3 and 4). If I populate 1,2,3,4 the machine boots but only the RAM is 3 and 4 is registered and if I populate just 1 and 2 the machine doesn't boot at all.

Anyone heard of this issue before?

erm i had the same kinda issue with my i7. Had to rma the mobo and everything was fine. Had 6gb of ram but only 4 where usable. Was a gigabyte motherboard and happend a lot apprently
 
As above, it happens regardless of motherboard and RAM (i.e. I've tried several) the problem is 100% the CPU.
 
I'm trying to at the moment, unfortunately having to deal directly with Intel as the CPU is second user :(
