I'm looking for an I7 8700K cooling solution for under £35. The height needs to be under 160mm.

Would like some potential overclocking ability as well, doesn't have to be crazy, even just a little.

I know, it's a strange request, but this is only temporary. Atm, I'm only using a GTX 970. When I upgrade the GPU (which, I have no idea when that will be, but will be a 1080Ti or higher) then I'll get a much better cooling solution for better overclock. Atm, I just need something good enough for now.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I'm going for a relatively small mATX build:

Case: CiT F3 mATX case, max CPU cooler height is 160mm

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 mATX board

Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x 4GB) 3600MHz DDR4

PSU: Corsair CX600M

Thanks, doyll for clarifying the measurements. I'm willing to spend up to ~£60. What are my options there? I hear a lot of good things about Noctua coolers, someone recommended me the Noctua NH-U14S, but I don't think that one will fit.

Thanks for the replies, everyone; apologies for linking other sites, next time I'll link directly to this site. As for the 8GB; I've used 8GB for years, it's fine for what I do; I'm more concerned with RAM speed than having more of it. When I eventually upgrade the GPU, perhaps I will add more RAM then. With the case, I wanted an matx smaller case, and despite its cheapness, I really love the design.

Will the NH-D15S fit okay on my board/ in my case? I'm most likely going to get it.

Edit: Will be getting the NH-D15S. If it doesn't fit in the case, I can always return the case and get a wider one. I don't have the motherboard yet, so I can't measure it properly, sadly.

Thanks for the advice, guys.
