Now I assumed this would be a given. I’m looking at a gaming laptop and seemed pretty set on a HP machine with a 10th gen i9 - the i9-10885H.
However when I’ve researched and looked at various benchmarks for mobile CPUs it seems way down the rankings; and in fact, numerous i7 both 9th and 10th gen were scoring higher in almost every aspect.
Is it down to the fact that it hasn’t been out long, or actually are the specs on paper not as good as they seem?

Think I’ve found some solace in 3D Mark scores. Searched for laptop platforms running 2080 Super (not Max Q). The i9-10980HK dominates with the i9-10885H coming a close second or third. Interestingly it appears the i7-10875H actually beats it by a consistent whisker in most tests though.
