Just wondering what the main differences are between the 920, 940 and 965.

Apart from clockspeeds, what i read i see that the 920 and 940 have both the same bandwidth of 4.8 gt/s and the 965 has 6.4. The 920 and 940 can only use 1066 memory, the 965 can use 1600 and higher.

What does it mean exactly? does it mean whatever the 920/940 is overclocked to the 965 still has higher bandwidth?

noob question i know but still

The main difference is the multiplier. The 920 has the lowest maximum multiplier meaning it has the lowest speed for a given FSB (or QPI in the case of the i7s). The 940 has a higher maximum multiplier so at this max multiplier setting it's a bit faster for the same QPI speed. The 965 has a completely unlocked multiplier so you can set it as high as the physical properties of the chip will let you and get some stupidly fast clock speeds, but you have to pay through the nose for it.
