i7 920 D0 OC vs Temps

Hi,

Finaly got my new rig built and wanna get an idea on an expected OC based on if i have a bad chip or a good chip. The reason for this theory is because 2 out of 3 sticks of memory were faulty unfortunately so not much point in trying to OC it yet.

I ran IBT for 10 tests using 8 cores and used all memory and top temp was 40 degrees the chipset temps idle at around 30 degrees or under.

I pretty sure this is pretty good but hoping a few of you can confirm it as this is my first watercooling rig.

Sorry to hear about the memory issue, unfortunately theese things are just a matter of bad luck. Your temps are pretty good, at stock on air cooling mine is hitting the low-mid 50's iirc. Once your memory is sorted you should be able to clock it up a bit more which should give you a better indication of how it will run.
