Hello CPU forums,

I have a i7 920 (Nehalem iirc) according to CPU-Z, and a Gigabyte UD5 mobo as per sig. :)

I would like to do some minor overclocking for the CPU, but the last time I've done this was with AMD Athlon Slot A's and P3's (10 years ago) :p So I'm a bit unsure of what to do and how.
The new BIOS options nowdays look like a lot of possible minor tweaks, but I don't know what to change where. Especially Voltages.

This is a bit of a difficult thing to search for on the forums as the keywords bring up a few million results :p

How do I go about doing this? I should easily have the necessary cooling needed for running stuff hotter.

Is it a D0? Will say in CPU-Z under revision.

If so, you can just increase the base clock up some. Everything should work on auto for a while if you just want a mild OC.

Fail brain, I was wrong. Bloomfield.

It says C0/C1 in Revision for that.

Okay so I turned off Turbo and the other "performance profile" from Extreme to Standard.
Set the Bus Speed to 140 from 133 and it's running fine. *knocks wood*
