i7 920 sluggish.

Got my overclocked i7 920 bundle from OcUK yesterday. Blistering performance coupled with my GTX 295.

Thing is though it seems very sluggish with file transfers and installing software. Copying files on hard drive goes at 10-20MBPS. On my old Q6600 with the same hard drive I was getting upwards of 60MBPS.

Anyone had the same problem? Solution?

Maybe I should have installed windows vista with the PC on standard clocks instead of 3.8ghz as shipped?

download HD Tune and do a hard drive test then get back to us with a screenshot.

It is probably not a problem with the cpu but with the hard drive drivers.

Even 60MBPS is a little low. What drive are you using.

hi i had the same problem as you which HDD transfer speeds of 30mb then i installed chipset drivers and now i get 115mb
