i have just bought the i7 920 do stepping cpu with a rampage 2 extreme mb and 6g of dominator 1600mhz and using stock cooling.
Not overclocked im getting 38 c at idle and primed at 75 c topps running for 30mins. core temp used for results.
Can anyone tell me if this sounds about right as ive read lots of differant temp results? Some say this is about right and others are saying that they are getting 24 c at idle.

. I am going to upgrade the cooler this week so i can start overclocking. Which cooler do you suggest? I was thinking of going for the Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler.
