I have just finished puttng together my rig yesterday. It consists of the following components in order of the loop.
Pump/Rez -> PA 360 -> CPU -> PA 360 -> GPU -> Pump
The componenets are as follows :
2 X Thermochill PA 120.3s
EK Supreme HF Copper
EK VGA Supreme HF
Laing DCC Ultra (18w) + xpsc 200MM top/Rez
7/16 tubing, 1/2barbs and clamps
Assortment of fans (11 fans at ~900rpm)
I spent about 30 hours leak-testing and bleeding the loop.
Tilting + doing a tube mod to help bleed the XPSC top.
I think I have most of the big bubbles out, but the pump still makes a air rush noise when it is switched off, does this suggest there is still some air in the loop?
The loop also makes trickling water-sounds when it is turned on.
The GPU loads at 40c at 1.1 volts in OCCT, and about 35c in games. I am really happy with the GPU temps.
The i7 920at 4.0Ghz with 1.28 volts hits 58c in Prime95 and 61c in LinX.
Do these cpu temps seem a little high considering the dual rads and considering the ambient temps are quite low (~20c).
I always hear people on XS etc getting 4.4Ghz at 1.4volts and they max out in the mid 60s.
The thing is that during LinX the cpu can sit on 62c and the gpu will stay around 26~28c idle. Since the GPU only rises in temps by a degree or so this would suggest the water temp is still low, so perhaps the pump is not getting enough flow to the cpu block.
As I have opaque tubing, I have no idea how I can get an idea of my flow rate. Any idea's as to how I can check. Would the water trickling sounds when I turn the loop on suggest that the flow is low or is that normal?
