Hi guys, just got a 920 2nd hand, fired it up and I've got 80C under small FFTs prime95... Turns out it's a c0/c1 revision, didn't think and assumed it was a d0. Is this probably just bad thermal paste etc. or is this something to be expected? (obviously doesn't leave much room for an overclock). It's cpuz reports vcore at v1.248.

Thanks!

Yeah small FFTs is real hard on the CPU and TBH it's not necessary to push the chip that hard especially with the stock fan, 80c will be about right for stock HS. Try the blend test and consider an after market cooler that will drop your temps by a good 25c+ at stock clocks and give you headroom to clock.

80C under load on stock cooler is fine. You could always get a cheap quality cooler if you want to have lower temps e.g. Cooler Master Hyper 212+.
