I7 930 1366 Question

Hey all, Ive got an I7 cpu and when i overclock it in the bios i have set it to 3.8 but when i go to CPU-Z it only shows 2.1? doesnt show that ive overclocked?

I have an asus rampage 2 extreme
I7 930 2.8GHz
1000w PSU

Any suggestions

I had the same question about 3 weeks ago and i was given this like that really helps and tell you how to stop it is you want to.

No need to stop it really. It's a powersaver for when the CPU is idle - as soon as you put load onto the CPU speedstep kicks in and you have your full OC.

what is the power consumption @2.1GHz after overclockering to 3.8GHz?
