Hey guys, just built my new PC and the processor seems a little too hot to me. Around 41c using the stock cooler, is this normal?
 
Looks fine to me, if it was above 50c then it would seem like you have not seated your heat sink right but those temps seem fine for stock cooler.
 
Don't know yet, just trying to install Windows 7 now but it's taking ages to load. :-/
 
Just stressing it now and the max temperature is 72c.

Just gonna order a Noctua NH-D14.
 
I get 41c on the two hottest cores at idle, using a lapped TRUE with a pair of akasa viper fans, fans running at 1000 rpm ono to keep the noise down. Summer heat has pushed temps up 4-5c though.
