i finally got a new pc, i7 930, on a p6x58 deluxw, with 6gb of dominator ram in it,

I have managed to overclock it stable, temps around 75c at full loads, to 4.2ghz, qpi 7200, so 21 x 200, can i expect to get any more out of it with the h50 on it?

i wanted a gt480, but they had none when i bought it, but never mind picked up a 5970 for £420, the poor bloke selling it got confused and i got a right deal, paid him and ran, lol, neway i ahve the the gpus running at 850 and 1205, can i expect much more out of it, staying below 55c,

and how do i overvolt it, its a sapphire one, cant get the over volt tool to work, maybe i did it wrong.

ty for your comments and ideas, in advance

got a version of the overvolt tool that works, 6gbps memory coming up
not sure about the 1ghz on the gpu but will give it a go

The memory won't artifact but self correct, run benchmarks and see if you lose with mem clocking, will get worse if you go past its limit - i only get around 1200 before losing points, 1ghz is possible on core though, i couldnt get it bench stable with 1.3v though

even overvolted can only manage 1205 on the memoery, i left the gpu at 800 for now as it remains stable, 825 seems to make it fall over

the processor is stable at 4.2ghz, with qpi at 7200g/ts, gonna change some settings and give it a bit more see if i can make 4.5ghz, not sure how well this h50 works tho

thanks

I found that on my old D0 920, my H50 worked until 4.1Ghz, After that it suffered thermal runaway and couldn't keep up. It all depends on the chip and how much voltage you can stuff in before it gets mardy.
