I7 930 Overclocked Bundle

I got the overclocked bundle tuesday and have it all installed, what temps are actually because at the supplied overclock I'm getting 87C when running Prime 95.

I'm using core temp to get the temp readings.

The bundle is housed is an Antec 902 and both the top and rear rans are running ambient room temp is 23.

At stock the Prime95 reads 66C any ideas or help please?

Nice bundle that - is that the Asus rampage you're using?

I would check that you have the HSF installed corretly with the correct amount of TIM and the case is getting enough through air. If it is, call the shop.

This definately sounds like a HSF installation problem. I would recommend re applying thermal paste and reseating the heatsink as said already.

Hmm I've already tried that, unfortunatly it's so awkward have to take MB out of case again.

Always test out of the case before installing, makes life much easier when something goes wrong.

p.s. the titan fenrir is one of the heatpipe coolers, it's recommended to put a line of tim along each of the grooves in the base rather than a drop in the middle. It's not a high end cooler, so temperatures will be worse than what would be achieved with a more expensive cooler.
