I7 930 with stock heatsink- should it come with a thermal solution?

I am just assembling my new pc. I can't find any thermal solution in the i7 930 box, I bought the retail version I.e it came with the heatsink.

Am I correct in assuming it should have come with thermal paste? And I also correct in assuming I need it?

It is not a big problem if I do, I will just go into town and buy some.

It does come with a thermal solution pre-applied to the heatsink's base in all retail packages. No separate tube or packet is included.

This should be fine unless you want to pop out and buy some arctic silver or something, you'd be then worthwhile buying some TIM cleaner from ****** or somewhere before applying!

Would not do this, clean the genric crap off the heatsink first.

ive normally had processors without the grey strips on so wasnt sure, but thanks
