i7 950 @ 5Ghz?

With my build in my sig, will it be possible to reach a frequency of 5Ghz? Thanks.

If you want 5Ghz you better order your cascade cooler or pots of LN2

I have seen scores @ 5/6+ but always LN2

Just looking on HWbot and they all seem to be around 4.5 when testing Vantage.
Think in the real world 4 poss 4.2 is something to aim for.

Power consumption and heat at 5 Ghz will be through the roof. Not pratical unless you just bench.

thats a clarkdale and not a bloomfield?

i havent managed 7ghz but i have done 5117MHz on the same chip using chilled water

ive had a gulftown at 5ghz too, but that died

the 950 was my highest clock on bloomfield. if you want a chance of going higher then a 32nm chip would be best.

but as already mentioned, not practical and not worth it
