Hey, i recently bought an i7 960 3.2ghz.

I have upgraded the stock cooler to something that should be a little bit better that i already had here. its the Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro REV 2.

as im typing this at the moment the core temps are

37C
33/34C
37C
32C

is this a good temperature? its also 20C at the moment outside so the room is hotter than usual.

Or should i consider upgrading? i just need to know if these temps are good or not basically for a i7 960 3.2.

Thanks :)

Theyre grand, idle temps dont matter a great deal. Load temps at 100% usage per core are the ones to look out for.

Hmm i was also watching my idle temperatures for like 20 seconds and i noticed that one of the cores randomly spiked upto 42C for like 1 second then went back down to 36c? is this normal? im using Core temp to monitor it by the way.
