i have managed to get hold of one of these cpus from work.
tempted to build a rig with it, or sell it on to build a 2600/2700k rig ?

do you think its still worth it, ive seen that boards can be got fairly cheap on ocuk,
 
Hmm, still a very good CPU but the problem is socket 1336 is a dead end, with socket 1155 and 2011 now in place and set to stay for ivybridge.

It probably just depends on budget and use.
 
1366 platform is still very good and if you get a 6 core version later on that willmore than beat 1155

Personally i would sell it on or swap for i7 920 D0 and spend what you make on if on the other parts
 
well ive tryed it in a machine mates rig and it did 4 gig no probs so i am tempted just to get a cheap board for it. as at 3.8/4 gig i carnt see there being any problems running any thing out there for a long time. gonna have to think about what to do..
