i7 965 Multiplyer Dropping When Using Prime/Orthros???

I have a odd issue. When overclocking the i7 965 to 4Ghz on P6T Deluxe (OC Palm Or V2) I can run prime but at certain times i have noticed that the multiplier will have dropped to 12. The Tepms are ok and the voltage is at 1.336 (Set to 1.35 in Bios) I am using the latest bios (0304) and C1E/Speedstep are disabled and the multiplier is set to 30 (Also tried with 26x160 and various others) I thought it may be some sort of prime issue so i ran 4 instances of Orthros and set the affinity to 2 cpu processes each but it still does the same..

What are the temps?

They are getting to about 75-80 Degrees but thats usual for 965 under prime...

When mine reached 90c the multi dropped. What are you measuring temps with?

I am using coretemp and i have also used everest... will try sticking the fan on the Domino up to max and see if it still does it..

With i7 does is there a fuss like with LGA775 with what the TJMaxx value is set to, when working out temperatures?
