Hi All

New to the forum, haven't really done much PC building since the Athlon MP!!

A friend of mine took a pair of scissors to his gaming PC and I've ended up with it.
Yeah he actually opened it up and got some scissors and then proceeded to vent himself!
With a little work I've managed to get it working again, with new components.

I was looking at putting a 1060 in. Would this cause any issues with a i7 980? Just looking to play FPS and some sandbox games. To be quite honest I want to make my PS4 redundant.

Thanks for any advice Dan!

It will work but as mentioned you'll have to make sure your motherboard is up to date in terms of bios.

I believe the board/CPU will only run at PCIE 2.0 so you won't get maximum performance from the card but if you accept that, it'll be fine.

I'd also get your friend in therapy!!
