Yes always comes up but at the mo which one is best, bearing in mind will be folding 24/7:D

Cogage Arrow 14?
Noctua DH14?
Thermalright Ven X?

Anything else? Price isnt an issue, tho havent measure space in case to what I can fit, Im on a Antec case with a XFX X58 mobo and low RAM, the antec 300 case. Price isnt an issue and noise isnt either really (well Deltas are out:p)

No problems with my Noctua, using it with supplied thermal compound.

Cannot comment on the others.

Although a large CPU cooler, it works very well. If you have the space it is well worth it.
Running i7 920 D0 @4.02GHz 1.35V max temp 68 degrees.

Puts the previous Domino ALC cooler to shame, no suprise :D

Have you tries 4.20Ghz 21x200 with NH-D14 and what was the max temp ?

I agree! I set mine as 1.275v in the bios for 4Ghz (191 x 21)

muzens - you could try 191 x 21 with turbo mode on and HT enabled, vcore 1.275, qpi/vtt 1.240v, cpu pll 1.840v and disabled LLC and you could easy get to 4011mhz (4Ghz) for lower temperature (max temp is 68C to 71C depend on room temp during winter & summer). I did this way and had stable 24 hours prime95 blend/small ffts passed.

you ought to try prime 95 small ffts for 24 hours to see if your 1.25v is stable! I did this, it failed after 12 hours! This is why I push up to 1.275v and it passed after 24 hours! ! 1.275v in the bios but under load it come down to 1.18vcore in windows!

I would but you're supposed to be on your PC at all times while stress testing and it's taken about a few straight hours of playing JC2 while encoding a few video files

edit: also people can get 4GHz at ~1.2v

To the original poster any of them coolers will be fine and you cannot really go wrong with any of them. As for the voltage of the 920, defon needs to be toned down to achieve a 4ghz overclock. Even my C0 stepping only requires 1.32 for a 4ghz overclock.
