Hi think it's time for a mem upgrade system is a I7 Bloomfield running at 3.5ghz, with stock cooling not a massive OCer so not overly fussed on ubber ram just some that can take some tweaking,

I have a 32bit OS at the moment with 64bit coming in the next month, curently have 3 x 1gb ram not sure what it is but CPU-Z says its Dram freq is 640.0 and 8-8-9-24 and it's triple chan.

I am willing to spend circa £100 and I only really game no vid editing or PS work.

All advice will be greatly received

thanks in advance

What motherboard do you have and which cooler. Is the height of the memory going to be an issue. If not really overclocking the just go for 6gb of the above memory which was suggested. No real need to get 12gb if only gaming.

I would go with this or this

thanks guys been a long time viewer on here first post and knew I could count on you all

My MB is a Asus P6t deluxe and at the moment is a stock cooler.

went for the 6 gig mentioned above

thanks again!

Either the Geil or Corsair will be fine. That motherboard has 6 memory dimm slots so could always add another 3*2GB at a later date. Best to avoid OCZ gold many people have reported problems with them and their actually pulling out of the memory industry from what I hear. Why not dabble a little in overclocking, pick up a £20 cooler, will run cooler and quieter even at 3.5GHz and maybe push it a bit more!:D
