that'd be my choice, spec up the monitor as thats what you actually see, spec down (arguably) the gfx and memory (I would be very surprised if the memory wouldn't clock to the exact same speed as the stuff thats £100 more and really doesn't need noisy fan cooling) and get a nicer case.... those antecs ming.

you could buy an ati and be fine,no problems, you could buy an ati and have lots fo problems like a lot of people get...you could also get a lot of problems with nvidia also but its highly unlikely unless the card is faulty...go for nvidia, they are more relaiable and do not need hotfixes to make the cards compatible with certain games...choice and yours...ati are more prone to problems in general even though they are good cards

aroooooga aroooooga fanboy alert!

I tend to buy NV because I'm comfortable with the control panel etc but one being more reliable than the other is just rubbish.

To be honest from what I've seen ATI hotfixing drivers is a good thing because it means they are more fluid, NV tend to have endless BETAs.

Either way, go with bang for buck not a specific GPU mfr.

thermalright or noctua cooler, they are roughly the same depending on your tower and setup:)

Also on an antec 1200 you dont need a secondary fan on your heatsink as the exhaust fan is right next to the heatsink anyhow...i added my secondary fan as an exhaust fan on the side of the case,i seem to get cooler temps as an exhaust rather than an intake
