Well RAM isn't your issue, hard disk is the slowest component, but its a little odd, as 5.9 was the fastest score available under vista, so why it thinks a 5.9 HD is slow is beyond me.

I get this too, on my XPS M1530 laptop. No where near as fast as your rig but easily fast enough to handle MSN and Firefox, heh, when this randomly pops up.

Annoying thing is I can't find anywhere to disable the popup.

Stupid reason for the 5.9

The reason for this of that i read on another forum on tom's hardware is that if the hard drive doesn't support the TRIM feature, the score is limited to 5.9 and if it does have TRIM and can go to the max 7.9 It is kinda stupid but its how it works, so yer.

Dont worry your computer isn't slow :) Mine throws this up sometimes too. Normally if it pops up it's after some period of heavy load where the rig might have gotten a bit unresponsive. Crashing out of a game when fiddling with GPU overclocking is a good one :). Ignore it - it lies. You wont get a decent score for Hard disk without an SSD.

No mechanical hdd scores higher than 5.9, not even raptors/velociraptors. Only an ssd will show an increase.

Also if you have a a mixture of SSD and storage drives like I do then windows screws up and with the SSD only i get 7.8 but when and mixture is installed i only get 5.9.

Another windows bug, but I don't really pay much attention to WEI as it is only there to make you spend money when you don't need to for unsuspecting victims.
