This is after overclocking to 4.2 on air, so temps are very high, I haven't started reducing voltages yet (at 1.5v atm). Using and Noctua cooler with hyperthreading on and using Intel Burn Test.

#0 95C
#1 95C
#2 88C
#3 90C

Is this a sign of uneven TIM? 7C seems like quite a big difference.

Ok, i've got it down to 1.415 in BIOS but it says 1.36 in CPU-Z, which one is right? I've heard something about Vdroop, is that dropping the voltage?

I'd trust CPU-Z as the voltage differs when you are in the OS.

I thought vDroop was how much voltage dropped when you were under load, although if it is the difference between BIOS and OS readings then apologies.

The temp difference is just due to the nature of how the cores are positioned and the contact with the IHS (Both Core>IHS and IHS>HSF)

Ah, I just read a guide and apparently QPI voltage can be too high, so i decreased that and can decrease the vcore some more, im getting a max of 86C in IBT now.

i have difference between cores, at idle and full load there about 4-5 *C difference between hottest core and coolest, theres always liek one hot core, two pretty much the same in the middle then one cooler core, and ive reseated my cooler a bazillion times ansd tried different past applyign techniques.... think its just how it works so i wouldnt worry, if say at load there was over 10*C different then maybe i would think a reseat is in order but seeing as everyone is having about the same difference i imagine its the norm.
