I've just booted my rig up for the first time today and i got 4 beeps ( i think ) saying 'cpu over temperature fault' Considering this was a cold boot why did this message come up?
I reset the CMOS and re-applied my OC settings, and all is fine.
Could it be the corsair H50 is failing? (the pump is not running?) I have since changed the pump header to the CHA-FAN socket, but it was running at full speed anyway.
I7 920 (OC to 3.8)
Asus P6TD Deluxe
Corsair H50
Corsair HX850W PSU
ATI HD 5970
I managed to get the rig running after a few cold boots but the temperature was well below 39c. Temps at idle are well below 40c on all cores in windows idle.
Thoughts gentlemen?.
