Hi guys i have just recieved my new pc from O/C Sorry if i'm a noobie but on my i7 970 3.2 the clock speed is low. I understand it uses a turbo to boost performance. Should i leave as is or set the bios up ?. On idle core speed is 2084 then it hits 4.0 under load

Hi and welcome to the forums.:)

What your seeing is due to intel speedstep, this lowers the speed at idle, basically a power saving feature. It's fine to leave it as it is.

I used the self build option.
