Hey all, seen a lot of i7 clocking threads on here the past few days, so naturally I was inspired to clock mine!

I have been running 3.4 for some time without problems and pushed up to 185 x 21 today for the first time running stable at 1.2v.

I notice this is very low in terms of voltage compared to some other peoples results, question is do you think I can go higher?

Max load was 78c on core 1 75/75/74 on the other 3 cores. Do you think I have the headroom to push maybe 4.2?

Cooling is provided by a Noctua NH-U12P in push/pull config.

1.2V is a high voltage for 3.4ghz. I'm surprised you needed any increase over vid (default voltage) for that.

75 is still good, but suggests you may be pushing your luck when going higher. Under 85 seems to be an aggressive consensus on temperatures here. No way of knowing if it'll go higher without finding out yourself, not sure what you're asking.

4.2 stable is unlikely without good cooling and considerable patience/skill on any chip.

Answering what I thought the thread would be, mines at two cores, 2ghz, 0.8V. Loads at 40 something on the stock cooler :)

heres mine with a 191x19....

Cheers for the replies

I didn't need any voltage change for 3.4ghz stable on my chip. 1.2V was for 3.88! Even then I just set it to 1.2 and it was stable, might go even lower.
