i7 - free overclock?

seems to be running at nearly 2.8ghz

is this normal?

Nothing has been changed etc - all stock

Turbo Mode - Perfectly normal.

It's Turbo Mode (you've got it enabled in the BIOS) it gives you an extra multiplier (from x20 to x21 under load)

non-overclocked 920s make me sad
