i7 + FSX = :(

Hi M13,
Something is deffinetly wrong, whether it be a software or hardware!

I'd agree with that, please try a known constant, such as COD4, Crysis or even one of the popular gaming benchmark programs, and report back on performance, if they perform poorly too, then you definitely have a problem and we have a good grounding in which to help you better.

Also, do go through Nicks FSX OS guide in as far as it relates to your hardware and software, it's a gem of a guide if you follow it properly and dont cut corners.

Thank you.

I'll try that tonight. GRID came with the gfx card and after adding my driver name I gave up as after five minutes I got bored of the loading screen (driving statistics etc.)

LOL ..> I got that game free with my 4870 from here too, gave up with it because of its frustrating menu ... try something else.

According to EasyTune6,

At rest (now) it's 22*c. With FSX running it's 24*c...

thats too cold for a processor there's no way it can be running at those temperatures. maybe on a water cooled rig you might get below 30 while idle. but the i7s seem to run hotter so 50-60 even 70 under load would be normal 24 under load seems way to cold. i dont think its reading it right- i know speedfan didnt read i7 temps right - but realtemp seems accurate so try that.
mine runs at 40 while idle 65ish under 100% load with aftermarket cooler and thats without an overclock - could be better im not the best with thermal paste lol.

Been using it for a few days now. Best used with details at the point where your PC gets pushed close to max. Before I had trouble with big airports, esp Payware onces, now, I can fly smoothly over most of them with respectable settings.

If that doesn't help, you need to keep tweaking. I bought a OCUK Intel 4.0Ghz Sugo specifically for FSX, and it taken me a long time to get it the way I like it. With this new tweak above, its been at its best yet.

GL and enjoy.

Thanks Guys!!

I've just had a full reinstall of Windows so i'll give you an update once everything is installed/updated.

Thanks again...
