Does such a beast exist?

Many thanks for any suggestions.

(edit) ooh the GA-Z68AP-D3 (rev. 2.0) looks good but lacks about £100 in frivolous cost. I can see why it is a popular board.

GA-Z68AP-D3 (Rev 2.0)
GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev. 2.1)
GA-Z68A-D3-B3 (rev. 1.0)

All appear to have parallel ports - thank you gigabyte!

Nice!

Can I ask why the need for a Parallel Port?

An easier solution would be to pickup a Parallel Port expansion card and then just pick a board on its own merits not on the fact it has such a legacy connector on it.

Spent 6 months wrestling with MATLAB, E-Prime and Presentation and a variety of parallel port cards. Nothing non-native is good enough for our purposes alas - got to have the hardware interrupt for Presentation and the native memory address for MATLAB.

There are PCI/PCIe cards with express card slots and parallel cards that fit them but it is a crap shoot if they will work. These cost hundreds so it will be just as efficient to get a good board with parallel and add any other desiderata.

(edit) so basically I have 4 high end rack mountable pcs built with intel b3 boards with lovely i7s et cetera that are no use for our purposes. My cheapest and most direct path is a replacement mobo with a parallel port.
