Hi folks, first post so apologies if it's in the wrong spot etc.
I'm currently looking to pick up a fairly powerful laptop. The most I'd really need it for is using music based software such as Reason with a few vst's and plugins. I'd also maybe like to play the odd game but will rarely use it for that purpose.
After having a bit of a search, I'm quite certain I'd like to take this:
Lenovo Z570
Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM Quad Core (2.2 GHz, Intel Sandy Bridge Architecture, 6 MB L3 cache, Features Intel Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz)
15.6" (Lenovo Glossy, LED Backlit, 1366 x 768 Resolution Screen)
8GB DDR3
750GB 7200rpm
Blu-Ray
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M 2GB
4x USB 2.0
2.5 kg
As far as I can see, the CPU seems to be one of the high end ones in mobile systems which is very useful.
With it being on offer too, it seems like a pretty packed system for around £540.
My only question is whether there is anything else I should consider before I go for it? Ideally, I'd like to stay in the £550 range but will be willing to add a bit more if it makes a difference.
Thanks
Edit: Link removed, thanks.
