Thought I would post a few pic's of my micro ATX setup. I modded it a bit - added a window and added a 5.25 drive bay cover that i drilled out.

Temps arn't that good obviously but the with the cpu undervolted at default speeds its ok. I tried it with a couple of gtx 280's but they exaust air into the case also, so that was a bit too hot. I could probibly get away with any single card and a after market cooler though.

Any way I am pretty satisfied with it :)

Thanks, I used the normal i7 920 cooler that came with the processor, The hard drive cage in my case is a different one that I got out of a old lian li case and cut in half. the normal sugo ones are quite big bulky.

as for the window I used a hacksaw blade and then a metal file to tidy it up. -a really slow way lol.

Yup, I need to get a better heatsink and sort out the airflow under the psu, after an hour of prime 95 with ati tool running the hottest core gets to 82c but thats using a i7 c0 chip thats undervolted to 1.056v. The temprature goes up really slowly when stress testing, showing that the heat is not getting out.

Update, Put the gtx 280 cards back in undervolted them to 1.03v, one of them still reaches 80c which is ok.

also got the AKASA AK-975CU heatsink and turned it to the side and made a duct to push the heat out the side of the case.

the cpu is more undervolted at 1.0v and temps have dropped dramatically. the psu fan deals with the videocard heat which has been reduced and i am still modifieng the side of the case for the cpu air exit.

May I ask why you have the front audio ports plugged into the mainboard onboard audio and not the X-Fi? Do you use the onboard for windows and the X-Fi for games?

Because i had installed windows and planned to use the asus onboard xfi simulation but the password for the xfi software did not work, so i put the sound card in for the mean time until i could get the onboard sound sorted

What mobo / ram are you running in that, looking to get an i7 setup to upgrade mine

Its the x58 Asus Rampage 2 Gene, the ram is some 4gb ocz 1333mhz stuff i think, I still need to get proper tripple channel memory for it.

I would definately recommend the NT06-E in this case, I had one on my Q6600 overclocked and overvolted, never went above 65oC, im a bit sad to have sold my SUGO :(

Nice, I tried the coolermaster gemini 2 but the psu got way too hot, was worried about the caps blowing. Thing is those gtx 280 cards need the psu fan to extract some of their heat, relying on it to deal with the cpu also is a bit much which is why i decided to duct the cpu heat out the side. the c0 i7 runs sooooo much hotter then a q6600.
