Have got my i7 to 3.85ghz no problems, can't see it passed that.
How high can I put my QPI/DRAM Core Voltage before it becomes dangerous?
What about BLCK? Had the i7 at 181BLCK an CPU Voltage at 1.2
Clunk's guide suggests 190BLCK, CPU Voltage 1.25 and QPI/DRAM Core Voltage
at 1.3

I have mine at 1.3125, 1.3 or so seems to be the sweetspot. im running the same board and possibly the same ram as you, (reaper 1600mhz c7) 21x193 bclk, (4050 mhz) 1.2750 vcore, also make sure that your uncore clock speed is running at 2 x your memory speed.

Few bios shots of mine.

qpi voltage was raised a few notches since i took those pics.

I've set everything to how you've set yours, except I can only set the multiplyer to x20, so now I get a 3850mhz clock, I don't see turbo mode anywhere, is that why?

What should I do about it? This is the first time I've OC'd before lol

*edit* Would trying to set the BLCK to 199 be any good? I think I can try it, what does everyone else think?

Is there no option in the ai tweaker menu for intel turbo tech? Check in the cpu configuration setting as well (advanced menu). It is also possible to run 20 x 199 (3980mhz), though for 4ghz youll need 20 x 200, this has the benefit of allowing your ram to run at its default of 1600mhz, though its a little trickier to get this stable, usually the qpi voltage needs a bump or two.

EDIT: What are the load temps like at the minute?

I checked for turbo, it's completely gone, as is speedstep, they were both there earlier though.

Used 200BLCK and x20 multi.

CPU Voltage = 1.275
QPI/DRAM Core Volt: 1.3

Not sure if I could lower them or not, but atm I'm not fussed.

As for temps, have been running Prime95 for 2minutes, cores read: 67-74-69-72 atm

Temps are petty good, you could try lowering the vcore voltage, you never know, you may get away with using a bit less, again youll have to test for stability, this can help drop temps a bit more.

How long should I prime it for, to know that it's stable? It's been on prime for 10minutes and I feel happy enough :D But seriously, do I need to get it 24hour stable? It's unlikely it'll be used that much!

I'd say so. I've done it for about 16 hours before, gave up (cos my room got too hot :p) then regretted it because there'd be some strange happenings, and BIOS resets.

8 hours of small fft followed by 8 hours of blend is my usual testing method with p95, also use intel burn test or LinX, the latter two will generate higher load temps than p95.

Left Prime95 on for 8hours, but forgot to use the torture test, it was just looking for Mersenne prime's!
Highest temps as shown by coretemp: 78-73-76-71. Might be able to lower the CPU Voltage a tiny bit,
and one of my case fans is facing the wrong way, might lower temps.
