i7 or i5

Hey guys, I need a little help choosing between the i5 and i7.

I do quite a bit of gaming and I also render a lot of video in Sony Vegas and I also live stream often I would like to save more money but if the i7 is a lot better then I can always gather the extra cash

I think from your brief description you are after a i7 for the Hyperthreading.

Only you know how much video editing etc you do, but from what you said I would go for the i7

For gaming, there will be no difference between them. For video rendering, the i7 will be better due to hyperthreading, so I would go for a 3770k with a good Z77 mobo.

The sentence makes perfect sense. You only need the i7 if you need to use the benefits of hyper-threading, i.e. if you are going to be using highly-threaded applications.
