Ummm, what exactly do you need advice with??

You've already decided to go with i7 instead of PhenomII.. so what is it you want to know?

don't need a 920, either wait for i5 or get a Phenom 2 955 BE imo

Okay thanks for replies, are the parts I have chosen are the best value for money in performance terms and as RJC pointed outt do i need anything else to beneift like fan on cooler etc or should I go nvidia instead of ati??

I would say that the components are fine, except for maybe the PSU... I would opt for something other than an OCZ PSU... that's just me though...

But apart from that it looks pretty good imo... I personally would go for i7 rig over PII...

Whats your budget sensibly? Core 7 costs quite a bit more in real terms - and isn't the best at performance per pound. It's great if you want to have the absolute best or really do a lot of specialist work that demands it, but as a day to day desktop it isn't the best choice.

I have one, but it was running full pelt most of the weekend transcoding stuff, if you aren't doing that stuff it's not worth the premium.

@sldsmkd

Well i was originally only looking to spend £700 to £800 as i have a dell 19" tft but figured if im going to spend that on a good system i may as well get good monitor to enjoy visuals on so ended up at around £950 inc 22" asus monitor :eek:, to breakdown my useage, basically games like bf2, cod series, bf1943, resident evil 5 etc, also converting avi to dvd, basic photoshop and home pc stuff??.. Was hoping this build to last me a couple of years too but i understand things change quickly
