qpi volts are @ 1.3v

cant remeber the rest off the top of my head

the problem ive got is as soon as i up the overclock it crashes its a gpu crash system slows loads and then the screen goes a nice random colour and i have to force reset. It does this on boot at the moment too and i cant work out why any tips?

By the way it was stable at 195*21 before i put the second 5870 in there.
i cant seem to get past 195 stable either so hopefully i can fix both problems togeather

Does it crash in the same way at stock settings, and does it crash in the same way if you run only using the new card (take out the known-good one? This should help narrow the problem down

OP states 1kw, where have you got 650W from?

it doesnt crash at stock settings with one card it did with two but when i flashed a new bios on it was fine along with a 2nd xfire bridge and a bump on the qpi volts so not sure what fixed it

and Matt as stated in the OP im using a 1kw ocz

Ah, so it's stable now? I'd want to put qpi back down to work out what the fix was in case something similar occurs in the future.

I think it was probably flashing the graphics card. If it's passing stability testing now, all is good.

not really its a borrowed psu till i get something quieter :D

either way the psu isnt causing the problem and im not sure what is, i no its not the ram sinice ive had it running quite abit faster

im thinking maybe something to do with the PCI-e controler but have no idea where to start any advice?

Its staying stable now but havent run a proper stable test (gonna run one now)

any ideas on where to go next though to get a 4.2ghz or similar?

added the settings ive changed in the op theres nothing else really thats not shown there.

Just tried to drop the qpi volts and it crashed
and put another bump on the ICH pci volts to take it to 1.6

ran intel burn and its seems ok its not done the standard slow down and crash

most importantly are these volts ok i think maybe im brut forcing it abit?

Edit: i opened everest and it crashed but strange it ran through it and loaded the Overclock page and when i went to scroll down complete lock out :S any ideas?

it still seems to be crashing, any ideas guys

ive tried dropping the clock back to auto then its fine same with the gpu's they are at stock untill i bench test or game so its something to do with the overclock

is there a skew or something i need to use?
