Testing a client build today, i've got an H50 on a 920 D0 @ 3.6Ghz 1.2v. Its so far on 32/50 IBT max runs. Realtemp reports temps on core 1 2 3 of 67 65 65 max however core 0 has hit 100C at 15:31 but still at 100% its back to 68C. Is this a glitch as one core couldn't shoot up to 100C while the others remained about 30C less?, + it never went to HOT or LOG in thermal status either, its still OK, plus as i said it went back down to 68C tops and did not fail IBT either.

Sounds like a bad sensor to me. I'd try not to worry about it, temperature readings from software aren't expected to be remotely accurate. The client may worry though.

Standard thing to do when different cores disagree on temperature is remount or lap then remount, but I don't think it'll help much in this case. You may be able to rma it as faulty to Intel, but probably not as the chip itself is working fine.

Yeah i've had this one about 3 weeks so far and its the first time its done that, and likely it did it for only one second lol.
