i7 setup - 6GB - any more any use?

I have a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard with 6GB memory. General use + video + photoshop.

It any use adding extra memory. I have 3 x 2GB - can I just add 3 more of the same?

It wont make any difference unless you're getting close to using up what you have.

Only worthwhile if you actually find yourself running out of ram. Otherwise there will be near 0 benefit, except for windows doing more prefetching.

A 60gb+ SSD might be more appropriate if you want a snappier system.

I have a 128GB SSD already (+2 x 1TB drives)
