Hi,

another spec check thread please. Moving from a 939 Opty, my typical 3 year upgrade to new tech. Use is games, video encoding, music creation.

- Got 3 delta fans, front, rear and on the TRUE cooler.
- Got no idea if the Lian-Li PC-7B can accomodate the ATI 4890.
- Will the ASUS P6T need to be flashed in order to boot the D0?

I've put this together from looking at people's sigs and advice in other threads.
Other than that please advise if you can. Thanks in advance.

I would change the psu to a corsair or be quiet (had an ocz a while ago and the buzzing annoyed me), the fans would be very loud, would change to some Xilence XPF120R Red Wings (or similar) + a fan controller.

Would also change the headset to some Goldrings, (or Sennheiser if buying from a place that stocks them).

Thanks Khemist, on your advice:

Changed the PSU.
Not to troubled about not controlling the fans.
The headset is just for throwaway use, got dedicated speakers.

I also changed the case and a few things as having the Lian-Li PC-7B PLUS II just now and looking at the 4980 specs I'm not convinced it would fit with room to spare.

Revised spec, any pointers welcomed, thanks in advance:

2nd spec looks a lot better, as you already have them I take it youre aware the delta's arent even remotely quiet?
If you want to shave a bit of cash, do you really need the deluxe version of the board? or would the plain P6T suffice?

Thanks Thrifles, yeah the delta will sound like an easyjet flight, out of my existing build its the only fan ive not replaced.
Good point about the board versions, i'll check out the differences, i think you could be on to something.

Thanks for the check, much appreciated.

If you don't mind mATX, the ASUS Rampage II GENE performs the SAME/BETTER than the P6T Deluxe and is CHEAPER.
Your decision if you don't care about looks.
