i7 spec help

hi , does i7 have 8 processors built on to one die chip ? . my friend say it only got 3 processors.. thx help

It has 4 physical cores like all quad cores, but has 8 threads so can run 8 processes at a time.

Your friend who thinks it has 3 cores doesn't know what he is talking about lol.

whats Hyper Threaded do..

Well say a core is only being used with 80% efficiency, Hyperthreading allows another thread to be run on that core with the remaining 20%.
