Im considering making the move to i7, what would be the reccomended bits to get. Id be just needing cpu mobo and ram, cooling wise i have a lapped TRUE black and a varied selectiion of fans, pwm 400-1200, 1300 and 2000 rpm 3 pin fans, id definitely be overclocking, main uses are video encoding, watcing blu ray movies and gaming.

I'm running the spec below:

As you're a clocker, RJC's spec would suit your needs nicely - the UD5 has a proven track record and the Patriot Viper memory appears to be quality stuff.

I've just been reading about the H50 and related threads - do you plan on cooling it with one of these? If so i would be interested to know your findings as on paper and forums it seems a freaky bit of kit.

Good luck with the build.
