so im setting the 920 to 200*20 for standard 4GHz clock
it works fine if i thrash the volts

im trying to get a more energy concious clock on there

perhaps 191 bclk with auto multi

speedstep/turbo enabled to save power when im not using its full potential

whenever i put turbo on it crashes and bsod's just after posting

am i missing somthing?

i was thinking 191 and auto would do it fine
it doesnt seem that turbo will run properly at lower clocks either
i tried it at stock and it crashes then too

can post bios list if it helps?

i would have posted in the i7 overclocking thread but cant seem to find it
['i7' has too few characters for the search]

Turbo will probably be adjusting the multi to 21 or even 22. Leave it at 200x20 with speedstep enabled but disable turbo mode.

tried that with turbo disabled but speedstep doesnt seem to drop the multi when idle

cpu vcore is at 1.45 so that should be more than enough

it gets into windows but fails prime & occt

its stable when locked but would like speedstep working so im not constantly on full power

seems one of the system interrupt controllers was uninstalled in the device manager
i guess this affects speedstep?

reinstalled the chipset drivers and its sorted it

posts at 20*210 and priming now at 1.40v
