i7 y0

Really? :/ I tried everything! Netgear don't support Vista 64bit and the other drivers i tried didn't work either. (mine was the v2)

Mine may have been the WG311T actaually, it was a pain to find drivers in the end i didnt use netgear one but the manufacturer of the chip inside.

I had a little play with the CPU and RAM clocks and this is what i've come up with. Is it ok? I'm concerned about the voltage, it's set to auto but is that ok?

Looks really cool mate, i want it. :D :(

Got the same Samsung monitor, how are you finding it?

I wouldnt mine doing a similar build myself with the Fortress.

Fantastic job. ;)

Very nice build there, well done! Have you considered putting some of the HDD's into some of the 5.25" bays? You'll need adaptors, but it'll mean you can remove the top 3.5" drive tray to give slightly better airflow from the front fan which is always good temp wise.

As far as your OC screenshots above go, I'd personally be happier with lower VCore - that 1.416 looks a little too high for 3.8GHz. Download RealTemp and use that to keep an eye on your CPU Core temps - it's reckoned to be one of the best and most accurate progs around for that. You really don't want your load temps to be above 80 degrees (load = when running test on Prime95 for example).

There's loads of good threads around for i7 OC'ing - but be prepared that you need to start setting voltages etc manually as auto doesn't really cut it at higher clockspeeds - you need to adjust for what you are getting temp wise! Good luck! :)

you have the same board as myself so try these settings.

BCLK = 200
TURBO = ON
Spread Spectrum = Disabled

Voltage

CPU = 1.293
PLL Voltage = 1.90
QPI/DRAM Voltage = 1.31
Ram = 1.66v

leave the rest on auto.

mine is sitting at 4.2 very happily

nice clean build there mate!

welcome to 'Team Fortress'

[your chip should be good to 4ghz if you set the cpu vcore to 1.3V, the one below to the first value in the yellow and the one below that to 1.325v]
