i7's problems with high ram voltages? :S

Is it just me or is it completely stupid for this information to be out there if it is wrong. Gibbo also said he has been running the i7 rig for a month not a lot of time to comment on effects that may take months to come out, also bear in mind i think gibbo has an es so maybe that is fine but normal retail ones will suffer from it. This shouldn't even be an issue as hard info if from no where else intel should have stopped this dead.

I for one certainly won't be surprised if 6-12months down the line we see a splurge of threads about peoples i7 chips dying on them and they coincedently were using 2V+ DDR3.

true, i think its hard to tell these kind of things until there has been a good few months if not even 1 year of people using them mainstream.... to be honest if it is indeed intel's recommendation then I dont think running current voltages will be a wise decision. As the article says though, there are manufactuerers doing new products which run on lower voltages
